Why is this link important?  It's critical because we have the attention of a consumer reporter from the Star newspaper.  And he is interested in the problems we are trying to highlight, but he needs to talk to people who are affected.  To date, most people don't want to have their story told, either through embarrassment or fear, but what they do not realize is that they are only making the problem worse.

Worse for others, who will have to undergo the same horrors they are and worse for themselves by not documenting the problems. Sure, maybe your insurance will help repair the damage, this time.  But what if they discover more?  And your insurance rates will just go up no matter what.  And the next time it will be your own pocket that these thousands of dollars for repair come out of.

And most importantly, when the biggest investment you make in your life begins to crumble or mold or worse, you will have no recourse against the builder and the other responsible parties.

And that is exactly the way they want it.  That is how these problems persist, simply because they can get away with it.

SO, you can just risk your life savings, or you can contact Paul Wenske with the Kansas City Star.  Paul can be reached at 816-234-4454 or by e-mail at

To quote Paul ". If there are no complaints, am I to assume there may not be a problem?"
