Message:   if he was in one. What is the purpose of an expansion joint(ok, one of them)? To allow the stucco to expand if the wall swells. Well then how can you say that this is a quality stucco if there is plaster between the 66 and the dissimilar substrate and the expansion joints have plaster in its' gaps. Oh and lets not forget the unbelievably uneven space between the 66 and the windows, I'm going to need to use three different sizes of backer rod to try and get a good caulk seal, and in some areas the gap is so small that I can't even get backer rod in the gaps. Supposed to be a high dollar house, and for the home owner it is, but seeing how the stucco guy seemingly took advantage of the home owner I just don't think its right. Then of course there is the window manufactures' recommendation for installation, once again 3/8" gap. Where is it? I guess they are summer gaps, some are here some are there. with all of the profit and all of the corners cut you would think that the stucco guy could have done a little bit better of a job. Maybe I'm to **** picky. **** I miss being ignorant. Those were just some blissful days.
